Love is Courage

After Pastor John Koe shared about the healing miracles in the second Nepal trip, my heart was filled with excitement.

The next day, on my way to work, I met a lady at the lift. She wasn’t someone I knew, but I was inclined to pray for her given her physical condition. I felt the Holy Spirit prompting me to have courage to pray for healing. I hesitated, since I did not know her name.

The next time I met her, I smiled and asked her name. The third time, I saw her at the canteen and sat with her. I felt the Holy Spirit present. We conversed comfortably and she said she had been to church but had not made a decision. She felt it was not time yet.

As we talked, I found out that she was educated in Chinese and that she used to read Chinese novels for hours on end. I thought about the copies of Our Daily Bread that I had ordered, and I found one in Chinese. The next time I met her again in the canteen, I gave it to her. She smiled. This happened after our first Hosting the Presence Seasonal Life Group meeting at Hillside.

I pray that she will make a decision for Christ before Christmas 2014. Loving Jesus gives us courage to love those we don’t know. Thank you Petra Church!
